Shalakya Tantra Department (Eye & ENT)

INTRODUCTION

• Shalakya Tantra is an important branch of Ayurveda dealing with the diseases situated above the clavicle, comprising of Netra Roga Vigyan (ophthalmology) ,Shira-Karna- Nasa-Mukha Rogas(Otorhinolaryngology and Dental) .
• UG department is here since inception of college while PG Department started to work since 2016 .
• The Department has OPD unit( 2 OPD’s – Eye & ENT,Dental), IPD, Kriyakalpa Unit & OT

VISION

• Department is committed to impart quality education in Shalakya( literary aspect ,clinical diagnosis and disease management both Modern & Ayurveda) .
• Post Graduate clinical Research works are diligently carried out in department.
• Eye ,ENT and dental disorders are meticulously examined and treated in our department with special emphasis on Ayurvedic treatment procedures like Kriya kalpa along with surgical procedures in concerned field .
• Our vision is to create awareness among the masses about Netra Swasthvritta and preventing blindness at an early age through regular camps .

Eye:

• Refraction ,slit lamp examination ,ophthalmoscopic xamination,retinoscopic examination ,Tonometery ,Gonioscopy etc.
• Kriya kalpa -Tarpana ,seka ,anjana, jalaukavacharana (Leech Therapy)etc.
• Surgical procedures(FB removal,Chalazion,Pterygium,Cataract etc.)
• Special focus on refractive error, diabetic retinopathy ,glaucoma ,allergic conditions

ENT:

• Kavala ,gandoosha ,pratisarana ,nasya ,karnadhoopana ,karnapoorana ,wax removal ,ear irrigation etc .
• Lobuloplasty

Dental :

Tooth extraction .

Head:

Shiroabhayanga ,shirobasti ,shiropichu ,shirodhara etc.
