INTRODUCTION
Panchakarma treatments are five-fold Ayurveda cleansing therapies which get to the root cause of the problem and eliminate the deep seated toxic metabolites from the body thereby restoring equilibrium of the doshas and promoting healthy tissues. The term Panchakarma is a combination of two words- “Pancha” meaning five and “Karma” meaning Procedure. The five Panchakarma therapies are Vaman (Emesis), Virechana (Therapeutic purgation), Nasya (Nasal medication), AnuvasanBasti (Medicated oil Enema) and NiruhBasti (Herbal decoction enema). Apart from providing curative line of treatment, Panchakarma therapies help in promotion of health & wellness and prevention of disease thus beneficial for both diseased and healthy.

Panchkarma is an ancient Ayurvedic practice of medicine. As the name suggests it comprises of five karmas named Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya & Raktmokshana. These procedures not only detoxify the body but also help in rejuvenation of body, mind and soul by strengthening the immune system, restoring balance of Dosha, Dhatu and Agni. Panchkarma procedures give tremendous results in various ailments like paralysis, arthritis, colitis, bronchitis, cerebral palsy, immune problems, skin problems, nervine disorders, mental illness etc. It is a divine boon from our ancestors.
P.G in the department of Panchkarma started in 2017. Each PG batch comprises of 3 students with total 9 PG scholars at one time. The average number of patients in O.P.D. is 55-60 per day with 40-50 I.P.D. patients in General and Private Ward together. There are 7 fully equipped therapy rooms with proper amenities. All the Panchkarma therapies along with Keraliya Panchkarma are done under supervision of specialized doctors by trained staff. Special care of patients is taken with full dedication and devotion.
